Whether you’re hoping to pursue a career as an actor, or you’re just looking for a fun way to learn some new skills and to widen your social network, this first course is for you.

Acting Session

This course is ideal for those who enjoy exploring their creativity and wish to experience acting.
You will work with an experienced instructor who will aim to nurture both your confidence and creativity in a safe and fun environment.
After this course, you might like to consider moving to a longer period of study by choosing our full 24 week courses, which includes classes in Musical Theatre.
Course Fees
$340 in Advance 8 Week Session – $95 Bi-weekly for payment plan – $850 in Advance 3 x 8 week

COURSE CONTENT

Grow your acting vocabulary
Take part in improvisation and character development exercises
Explore techniques in freeing the actor’s voice, imagination and physicality
Work supportively with others in the creation of character, situation and role
Get to perform on stage and at special events

This course is delivered over 2 days. Monday and Wednesday
Times
All times listed are EST. 5:30 – 7:30 PM – Mondays and 7:30 – 9:30 PM Wednesday
Age
The minimum age is 7 on the first day of the course. There is no upper age limit.

12 students per 2 hour course session
Course Delivery
All Courses take place onsite at a Clearbrook Center of the Arts
Online students
We welcome Online Students to our courses, however please ensure you register in advance to receive the Cisco Webex Code to join.

Attendance

Due to the structure and the collaborative nature of the courses, full attendance is required. Classes are limited for the purpose of being in coordination with COVID guidelines. Please be advised that temperatures will be taken upon arrival and hand sanitizer and masks will be required.

Refunds

We are able to offer a full refund up until 7 days before the scheduled course. After this, the course will become fully non-refundable.

Cancellations

HAW Productions and Clearbrook Center of the Arts reserves the right to cancel this course if we do not meet the minimum number of participants per scheduled course session. In this instance, a full refund will be made to you. We are unable to refund any other costs you may have incurred.
Benefits After the Course
As our Acting Courses are classed as Introduction to Acting Career Study classes, All participants who desire further study will automatically receive discounted continued classes online if desired beyond the Beginners Course. All participants have the opportunity to join the Tackett’s Mill Players performance group through audition.
