The feature: Indigo Green, graduated from Charles J. Colgan Sr. High School in June 2022.
He won the Bronze Medal in the Poetry Written category at the National NAACP Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technological, and Scientific Olympics (ACT-SO) competition held recently in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Indigo had the opportunity to compete at the national level after being one of five gold medal winners at the local PWC ACT-SO competition, held on the Woodbridge campus of Northern Virginia Community College in April. Only gold medal winners earn the right to compete at the national level.
