Red Sunflower
Red Sunflower is a DC-based instrumental trio formed by brothers Kiyan Saifi (guitar) and Teymour Saifi (bass), with Nick Murphy on drums. The band explores noise, textural improvisation, and experimental rock. Drawing on the energy of punk and free music, Red Sunflower favors intensity and unpredictability over convention.
Filthy Pink Doll is an experimental noise and improvised music project active in the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) underground scene. The project operates as a trio featuring members Arthur Harrison, Carl Merson, and Kevin Buckholdt.
Herschel Hoover studied classical piano/music theory at the Peabody Institute in Baltimore and has played guitar for over twenty years.
He, Rich Feinstein (drums/producer) and Anne Feinstein (bass) completed Punk Ass Bitch & High-Grade Migraine at Cone of Silence Studio.
Eric Baylies
Eric Baylies writes for The Boston Noise and was a dj on WUMD. He attended U-Mass and Harvard University. He has played all over America and Europe in the bands Temple Of Bon Matin, Bad Motherfucker, Club Math, and Baylies Band. Baylies has recorded or played with members of The Stooges, Violent Femmes, and Sun Ra.
