Exhibit: CALUM HJELM

Calum Hjelm is a Northern Virginia-based artist debuting their first solo show on September 19th at the Clearbrook Center of the Arts. “Melting Myself” features work inspired by many facets of Calum’s life, including both platonic and romantic relationships and journeys—physical and mental. The show celebrates a life thoroughly examined and expressed through art, viewing art as a paradox: it exaggerates the physical world yet is inspired by genuine, raw emotion.
